Children of Faith, Part 6

We as Christians are living in a world in which, day by day, our God is no longer welcome and His Word is no longer tolerated. This has been seen before, of course…

We read about just such a society in the Second Chapter of Judges (10-11) that “When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel. Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served the Baals”

There was a time in which the Children of Israel failed to raise up their own children right. They didn’t teach them the truth of God, and the next generation to follow was lost. They fell into sin and did what was right in their own eyes, committing great evils in the eyes of the Lord. Friends, are we standing on the precipice of just such a time in our own society? We have cut God out of so much in the public realm, and now we see a rise in what cannot be called anything else but evil.

The secular world is teaching our children that there are no absolutes. There is no right or wrong, it says; just do what feel right!

It’s teaching them that life is an accident, and that people are just evolved animals.

It’s assuring them that there is no God and that the Bible isn’t true!

My dear friends, that’s what they are hearing every single day from almost every direction. And we see the product of it as our society falls deeper and deeper into arrogance, self-absorption, and the justification of whims on nothing more than the assurance of feelings!

Without God, our world is falling apart, and if we don’t take the time and put out the initiation to be the first line of defense against this tide of godlessness, then what hope do our children have for themselves or their future?

What this world needs is God! What we all need is a Savior. What our children need are examples of faithfulness to the Savior!

The message continues next time…
