Remembering Billy…

Today, February 21st, 2018, the world lost an icon of evangelism. I admit, I came to the faith long after Billy Graham’s fervent ministry passed into the hands of others, but I have come to greatly appreciate his work, his call, and the dedication he had to that which God tasked him with. According to one estimate, Billy Graham led more than 400 crusades in 185 countries, ultimately reaching an estimated 215 million people!¹ It’s a monumental achievement. Much has been said about the life and work of this man, so I will digress. What I want to say in closing is this: Graham made his life about the life of our Savior, Christ Jesus. He did all he could for the One who came to pay the price for us all. May he rest well in the embrace of our Father, hearing those most precious of words…

“...Well done, thou good and faithful servant…” – Matthew 25:21

One last thing…

I was absolutely stunned by the boldness of Ms. Giffords on the Today Show this morning as she shared the Gospel live on television. In this dark world, it’s a rare pleasure to see the truth cast forth in such a public medium. God bless her for that.
