Hell & the Rich Man, Part 11

One day, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess the sovereignty of the Lord! Doubters and believers alike will all stand before the King at some point. Will you stand before him in the light of salvation?

You know, so many have a misconception about God being this critical, judgmental deity that watches our every mistake, waiting to cast us to the flames. Let me tell you, the Bible makes our condition plain and simple:
Mankind, every single person who has came about since Adam and Eve, carries sin upon them from birth. We inherited their sin, and every child born today still is born with the black stain of sin.

Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Christ lived a perfect, sinless life, and died a sacrifice to pay the ransom for you and me and everyone else who believes.

John 3:16-17For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Christ was born to die, not so the world would be condemned to hell, but so that all who looked to Him would be saved! He took on our sin upon the cross:
2 Corinthians 5:21He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

He bore the wrath of God as He bled beneath a crown of sharp thorns. He suffered the fate meant for us all. And He did it for you, and for me, and for every wretched sinner who otherwise would never step into glory in reconciliation with the Father…
