Hell & the Rich Man, Part 12

Those who are burning in Hell, those who will yet be cast into the fire, were not thrown into darkness by a vengeful god. They made a choice! An eternally regrettable one. They set their destiny by filling their plate with the lusts of the flesh! They anchored themselves to Hell – just as so many who are alive today – with every single sin. Christ is the only hope any of us have! Jesus is the only way to avoid the torment of Hell!

Everyone who lives carries sin that condemns them the Hell, and Christ alone stands on the precipice, extending the blessing of mercy to all who look to Him.
John 3:18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

You are destined to fall into the flames if you don’t accept him. The tormented chose their path, just the same as those who will yet be condemned are making their decisions now.

They rejected their only hope.

Though they will spend an agonizing eternity, millenia after millenia, tormented not only by their own gnawing pain and suffering, they will also be tormented by the countless and relentless screams and wailing echoing around them…

Surrounded forever by countless lost souls, yet never will they feel more alone or more isolated, being cut off from the presence of God. Those who wish to live apart from God during life will find that He will grant them their wish for eternity…

And there…the mercy of the Son having been rejected in favor of everlasting darkness, the wrath of an angry father will be poured out…

And there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth…

What’s your connection with eternity?

Friends, you have a choice to make. We all do.

You and I have an appointment with the Lord, and none of us know what moment that may find us. Use the gift of the present to accept the salvation Christ is offering. Come to Jesus. It’s the best decision you could ever make.

You are only a heartbeat away from eternity. When you stand before the throne, what will He say to you?

Well done, my good and faithful servant or depart from me, ye worker of iniquity, I never knew you

Where do you stand today, friends…
