Waiting on the Bridegroom, Part 10

The foolish demanded the oil of their sisters, but what do we see instead?

Verses 9 – 10 read:

“But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Waiting on the Bridegroom, Part 7

The Hour of His Return is Unknown to us, you see.

Waiting on the Bridegroom, Part 1

When we look around at our world today, most of us cannot help but feel a sense of anxiety. No matter what side of the political spectrum you find yourself on, there is an air of conflict we cannot seem to escape, a burden of dread as we wait for the next shoe to drop. In reality, it need not be so. For those who believe, those who have been washed in the blood of Christ, who have accepted the salvation that He alone provides, no matter where this world is heading, we have another destination all together. That’s what I want to look at over the next few week: Where is the church going?
